Equity Plus

Equity Plus is an investment organisation focused on the social enterprise and social business sector. The first Equity Plus project is the development of a network of business angels seeking a return on investment that is both financial and social/environmental. Equity Plus business angels want to work with all types of organisations that are delivering social benefits through trading, including social enterprises, social businesses or charities undertaking trading activities.

Operating across the UK, the Equity Plus team provides a wide range of support to investee organisations helping them find the right level and mix of finance, become investment ready and partner with business angels to achieve their commercial, social and environmental objectives. Many business angels want to invest their time and skills as well as finance.

Equity Plus is committed to developing the wider finance market for social enterprises and is one of the action-research projects funded by the Government’s Office of the Third Sector to identify new sources of private finance for social enterprises.
